I Need A Social Life!!

Getting a social life going isn't easy when you are 50+!   I am taking a break from the Internet Dating thing as there seems to be too many frogs hopping around.   I want, and need a Gal Pal! All my girlfriends have either gotten married or found boyfriends in the past year, leaving me, well, alone!   So how does one find a new buddy?   I suppose I will have to step outside my comfort zone and get involved  in activities on my own that I am interested in, and hopefully I will find some kindred spirits along the way.   It sure was much easier when I was a kid and I could just knock on a door and say, "Can you come out to play?"
